Art Club

Introducing Art Club at JSD Art!

Art Club is a joint venture of Jen Diver and Kelly Pack, art department chair at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park.

At Art Club, there is nothing more important than students making their own artistic choices and taking creative risks.  Kelly and Jen build opportunities for critical thinking  into every project so that your young artist is not only learning new techniques and materials, but experiencing the long term benefits of being brave!  In every class, we’ll show you how to use the materials but encourage each student to create art that is unique to them.  Now more than ever, it’s crucial for students of all ages to be able to communicate how they experience the world and at Art Club, we believe that creating personal and meaningful art will stay with our students long after class is over.

We offer group and individual classes, as well as private events for artists of all ages. Our class schedule is available below and new classes are added all the time. We also love to design personalized classes for small groups. If your kiddo’s crew wants to get together at Art Club after school one day to paint their favorite characters or make some clay creations, reach out to us and we’ll make it happen!

Art Club is located at 913 Burlington Ave, 2nd Floor, Western Springs. We are just upstairs from Casey’s Market in downtown Western Springs.

Look for the yellow door and come on up!

About Kelly Pack

Kelly started her career path at the University of Missouri with degrees in Magazine Journalism and Graphic Design. Shortly after graduation, she was offered an art and design teaching position in Kansas City and immediately fell in love with the creativity and perspective that students bring to an art classroom. Almost 10 years later Kelly (Ms. Pack to most) is the Art Department Chair at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park and wholeheartedly believes that no matter the age or artistic ability, an art room is a place for creativity, critical thinking, taking risks, messing up, and learning from those experiences. Outside the classroom, Kelly works to create opportunities for all ages - kids and adults wanting to learn new skills, those looking to jump back into their own practice, or those looking for a night out and a creative outlet.
